IAFF LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE

Parma Heights Fire Fighters sent 3  representatives to Washington DC for the annual Legislative conference.  This was our third year attending.  Jerry Miluk, John Braskie and Joe Campagna represented our Local at the Conference.  This years conference had 1,000 representatives in attendance.  Over the 3 day conference we met with Senator Sherod Brown and Representatives Dennis Kucinich and Betty Sutton. We also met with representatives for Senator George Voinovich and Representative Marcia Fudge.  We discussed  the IAFF's agenda as well as issues that pertain to our City and Department.

CONTRACT INFORMATION

The Union has been negotiating with the City since the fall of 2008.  Our contract expired on December 31, 2008.  The negotiating team will be updating everyone as to the current discussions.
